Southern California TRS Staffing Solutions are seeking an experienced Program/Project Manager – Energy & Midstream on a direct hire basis to join our client's EPC team. Our client is expanding their engineering services to their energy utilities, midstream, renewable energy, and carbon sequestration clients in Northern California. They are seeking a business minded program manager and project managers/engineers who can both manage multi-disciplined projects and a regional project program.
Applicants must be within the Greater Bay area and be able to commute to Walnut Creek, CA in order to provide on-call support and communication with clients in the region. The position has a flexible 9/80 work schedule with a remote work location. Work will be primarily in Northern California, with approximately 10% travelling to client project sites and to the corporate office in Southern California. Job Duties
  • Program/Project Management and System Planning
  • Develop scope, approach, and facilitate solutions for projects
  • Assist in developing the right solution; system planning
  • Manage several multidiscipline projects simultaneously
  • Effectively plan and execute projects on schedule, within budget
  • Effectively communicate project deliverables and status
  • Manage project risk
  • Develop and lead project presentations/meetings
  • Manage project quality assurance and control
  • Proposal, schedule, and cost estimate development
  • Business Development
  • Maintain existing client satisfaction
  • Cultivate new client contacts
  • Identify client projects and needs; consult on approach and solutions
  • Coordinate and facilitate business development events with new/existing clients
  • Attend business development conferences and industry events
  • Generate new work both within and outside of company’s traditional region
  • Perform market research and develop new client acquisition action plans
  • Identify, track, and pursue new client opportunities
  • Marketing material creation/development
  • Assist in leading and growing the regional office
  • Assist in regional office personnel selection and development
  • Capable of working remotely
Job Requirement:
  • Education, Work Experience, & Training
  • B.A. / B.S. (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Civil Engineer degree is preferred) or strong design and construction background in the midstream field
  • 8+ years of work experience in related oil & gas field
  • Competence using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
  • Extensive experience in small to medium-sized projects
  • Previous experience in a consultant environment is a plus
  • Beneficial Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) & Professional Engineering (PE) License

  • Prior experience with gas and electric utility companies
