The Category Manager is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies for global and regional scopes, ensuring effective and efficient procurement processes that align with the company’s goals and objectives specifically pertaining to HR Services, Staff Augmentation, and Employee Benefits.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, define, challenge, and execute procurement strategies related to global and regional scopes and complexities.
- Communicate effectively across all business levels, sites, cross-national, and cross-functional organizations.
- Independently and proactively create plans and deliver results in a complex internal and external environment.
- Utilize strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.
- Create cost models and utilize market intelligence to identify and support procurement strategies.
- Lead education concerning policies, procedures, system usage, and best practices in Supply Management, Procurement, and supplier qualifications.
- Possess strong contract knowledge and manage supplier contracts effectively.
- Demonstrate high levels of quantitative, analytical, and conceptual skills.
- Utilize SAP daily as well as other ERP systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management (Procurement), Business Administration, Finance, Engineering (preferably Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical), Industrial Management, Economics, or equivalent industry experience in Procurement.
- 5+ years of experience in HR Services, Staff Augmentation, and Employee Benefits.
- Strong skills in ERP systems
- SAP experience is required
