TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Construction Progress Specialist role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.
This role will initially be based in our client's Vancouver office. After the initial phase, the position will transition to the project site in Kamloops, BC.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and execute tasks as directed, ensuring punctuality and reliability.
- Track and report on construction progress, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and coding standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and other stakeholders to provide necessary data for cost, schedule, and progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and global standards, including Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.
- Oversee and document purchase orders, subcontracts, change orders, and other contractual adjustments.
- Develop and utilize core skills effectively in the role.
- Create and present reports and presentations for project, client, and management reviews.
- Establish and maintain project coding systems for effective data management related to costs, schedules, and progress tracking.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Eight years of related work experience.
- Practical experience with construction earned value measurement systems.
- Technical knowledge necessary to perform job-related tasks.
- Effective communication skills with various audiences, including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, provincial, and federal statutes and guidelines.
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently within time constraints.
- Willingness to travel for project assignments and business-related matters.
