This is a full-time permanent role located in anywhere within British Columbia.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the planning, organization, and management of a wide range of contaminated sites and reclamation projects, along with the associated personnel and tasks.
- Offering technical and regulatory guidance in relation to work on contaminated sites.
- Engaging in discussions and negotiations with partners, clients, regulators, contractors, and sub-contractors.
- Drafting and reviewing comprehensive technical reports, cost estimates, and proposals.
- Developing project status reports and ensuring the upkeep of project documentation.
- Leading technical teams to guarantee the quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of outputs.
- Mentoring and training our team of environmental professionals.
Qualification
- Possession of a degree or diploma in a related field (e.g., environmental science, hydrogeology, chemistry). A Master’s degree in a related discipline is advantageous.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in the environmental industry.
- Professional designation recognized in BC.
- In-depth understanding of and experience with pertinent Federal and Provincial legislation, environmental standards, regulations, and guidelines.
- Experience in project management, leading projects, and project teams (i.e., budgeting, project tracking, cost-accounting, and scope control), as well as leadership and supervision of contaminated sites project teams.
- Unrestricted valid driver’s license.
