The role responsibilities
• Participates in all project meetings related to project status, progress, scope, cost, and schedule.
• Identifies the appropriate contract flow-down requirements for purchase orders and subcontracts.
• Works closely with Project Controls to monitor the contract schedule performance and cost trends.
• Prepares consolidated analysis of the contract terms and conditions to highlight the areas of risk and recommends their mediation.
• Assists in review and analysis of project financial data and client progress payments and billings to ensure compliance with contract terms.
• Assists Project Manager and/or Site Construction Manager in the preparation and negotiation of the changes to the contract baseline, as well as resolution of constructive contract changes with respect to additional compensation and time.
• Works with other project team members to define Clients actions or inactions, which could result in-contract changes.
• Coordinates and monitors compliance with the contract obligations, as assigned, including reviews of incoming and outgoing correspondence, submittals, certificates of insurance, etc.
• Develops and implements the project Subcontracts Management Program.
• Participates in the review and approval of bid tabulations and recommendations consistent with both Client requirements and project interests.
• Ensures the monitoring of contract quality, cost and performance, and that all contractual duties and obligations are fulfilled by all parties to each subcontract.
• Liaises with the line authority and with all of the other project departments.
• Monitors all subcontract execution and assists with reviewing change orders, progress payments, disputes, bonds, letter of credit, insurances, etc.
• Ensures final accounts are agreed for all subcontracts.
• Works with the project team members in the identification, negotiation and resolution of Subcontractor and Vendor claims.
• Participates in the drafting of all contract/commercial project lessons learned.
• Manages all contracts inputs.
• Coordinates all work carried out by Contracts personnel allocated to an Invitation to Tender (ITT), if applicable.
• Provides recommendations on subcontract strategy, forms for subcontract, special conditions, etc.
• Coordinates contract review of all subcontract quotes and ensures the necessary issues are both addressed with the subcontractor and/or included in the Invitation to Tender (ITT).
• Assists in the management of risk identification and mitigation for the Invitation to Tender (ITT).
• Participates in Client negotiations
• Prepares contractual qualification lists taking into account Group Contracting Principles, as well as obtaining input from Financing, Taxes, and Insurance organizations.
Qualifications
Degree in Contracts management or similar.
