Our client is looking to recruit a Contracts Manager (staff) for their hydrogen (related) projects.

As a Contract Manager you will lead the global category for field erected Hydrogen and Ammonia Tanks and Jetties within the Global Corporate and Strategic Sourcing team. This position also requires ~15% domestic / global travel with both short and long business trips of 1 or 2 weeks periodically throughout the year.

As the Contract Manager you will be required to lead, develop, negotiate, implement, and manage competitively advantageous contracts for key strategic technologies. You will also be responsible to bring to fruition the contracting with viable technology providers (licensors), EPC, or EPCM’s and thus ensuring their compliance to the scope of work and terms & conditions to enhance the company's competitiveness and enable project execution.

Required skills/abilities:
-  Minimum 10-years of sourcing and contracts experience in an Industrial Gas, EPC, Oil & Gas or Technology company.
- Prior experience in awarding and managing engineering, licensing, EPC and EPCM is a must.
- Prior experience with procurement of static and rotating mechanical equipment is advantageous.
- You must also possess both contract formation and contract management skills.
- You will need to have the knowledge, experience, and ability to influence program or project teams, and business stakeholders to meet established contracting goals and objectives.
- You will be expected to support commercial negotiations including terms & conditions, pricing, and schedule.
- Understand, formulate, and negotiate the pre-award RFP and contract components such as scope of work, technical specifications, commercial practices, operating practices, and business processes with a focus on driving cost reduction initiatives.
- Understand and promote relationship management including the development and tracking of Key Performance Indictors (KPIs) and continuous improvement practices to retain the value gained through the pre-award process.
- Strong sourcing, contracts, organizational, written, and negotiating skills are required.
- You are expected to bring expertise in managing risks as a primary commercial advisor. 
- You possess the ability to communicate technical and non-technical information, across cultures and organizations.
- You are proficiency with the Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, One Note) and knowledge of SAP and requisition to pay processes.
- Prior experience to manage subordinates and ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- You possess excellent oral and written English proficiency. A second language is advantageous.

Required education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business administration or construction related fields.
- Experience and proven track record in contracting for engineering, licensing, EPC and EPCM services.
- MBA is advantageous.
