What are we looking for?

Cost Controller who oversees actual and projected costs for specifics projects.

Someone that works with a project team to optimize the project's financial performance

Additional responsibilities

• Monitors actual costs on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
• Evaluates whether actual and expected costs are within budget (sales and zero budget)
• Evaluates whether the correct cost elements and the correct (sub) project have been assigned
• Splits and/or moves budgets within the project, without losing track
• Critically analyzes all costs and asks questions of the departments involved
• Refines existing budget control systems
• Prepares budget control (in ERP)
• Discusses budget control with Project Manager
• Prepares outgoing invoices and forecasts based on the contract value including extra work
• Updates the cost performance report (depending on customer requirements)
• Maintains and updates the contract value including approved additional work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in cost control or a related field (recent graduates are also welcome)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus
• Fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch is an extra advantage
