Director of Software Development

Here is an exciting opportunity to join our client, a software development organization, located in the beautiful area of Calgary, AB as the Director of Software Development. You would be based out of one of the fastest growing tech-hubs in North America and working with a dynamic organization with operations throughout the world.

The successful candidate will be involved with strategic decisions related to the development team. They will lead a team of software developers and testers as well as guide the development and creation of the organization’s products and services. Further to this, the qualified candidate will work closely with other engineering managers to ensure the company’s goals are being achieved and products are meeting standards.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related post-secondary education and experience
• Must have experience with software development in a team lead role
• Must have a strong understanding of cloud service development and deployment
• Must have previous experience with mentoring and coaching team members
• Outstanding communication skills – written and verbal
