Salary Range: $40-50/hour
Responsibilities:
- Directs study design and field quality control, ensuring data collection meets project standards.
- Oversees the creation of complex reports and ensures data quality and accuracy.
- Coordinates schedules, participates in hiring processes, and recommends professional development opportunities.
- Provides training, feedback, and identifies potential improvements.
- Ensures safety compliance, reports incidents, and maintains equipment safety.
- Leads in establishing discipline-specific standards and best practices.
- Contributes to setting and monitoring work goals.
- Regularly reviews progress towards milestones with Project Managers.
- Contributes to proposals, identifies new business opportunities, and maintains client relationships.
- Manages and assigns tasks to project team members.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in the environmental industry, including 8 years of specialization in a specific discipline, and recognized as an industry specialist.
- Holds a relevant degree (advanced degrees preferred) and is an active member of a relevant professional organization with a professional designation.
- Possesses relevant safety or other certifications and has experience in species identification and habitat description.
- Experienced in field data collection according to best practices and government standards.
- Has experience supervising multiple crews and leading regulatory approvals.
- Ability to resolve complex technical issues and anticipate problems before they arise.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with experience in making comprehensive presentations.
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills, builds effective interpersonal relationships, and has a strong desire to work in a team setting.
- A Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
