Heavy Haul Manager

Our client, a leading EPCM with projects worldwide, is seeking a Heavy Haul Manager to join their team in Kitimat, BC. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with overseeing module stacking, transportation, and installation, assisting in the execution of heavy haul/heavy lift activities, as well as monitoring the heavy haul/heavy lift contractor.

Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily and weekly heavy haul/heavy lift activities. They will coordinate the heavy haul/heavy lift execution and provide technical expertise related to heavy transport and heavy lift operations. Along with this, they will be monitoring, reviewing, and approving the heavy haul/heavy lift contractor’s transportation and lifting method.

Qualifications
- Preference for Bachelor of Engineering or related education and equivalent project experience
- 10+ years of experience with heavy transport
- 5+ years of experience with SPMT systems
- Should have experience with equipment mobility, winching and hydraulic platform, 8-12 axel trailer
- Understanding of hydraulic pneumatic air and electrical schematics
- Must have previous experience with managing subcontractors
- Should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
