• To lead Project / BU Onshore Engineering activities.
• Ensure Engineering deliverables meet overall statement of requirement, industry standards and client specifications.
• Support / guide discipline engineers
• Ensure all the engineering interfaces with relevant party including partners, client, 3rd parties, regulator.
• Ensure Engineering projects are executed in the highly safety manner, quality conformance and within budget and schedule.
• Build a strong engineering team by participating of recruiting candidate to achieve company business growth objective.
• Manage the Engineering team, and coordinate all disciplines activities.
• Promote safety culture and make sure operation comply at all times with safety rules.
• Define and pursue within Engineering team with BU / Project HSE objectives.
• Ensure efficient follow-up on Engineering deliverables.
• Organize and check the quality of technical / Engineering documentation.
• Animate Engineering meetings.
• Close coordination with onshore team.
• Assist project and planning teams for developing project plans and ensure the project is delivered in budget, on schedule and within scope.
• Prepare construction budgets by analyzing technical drawings while updating specifications and projecting costs for each elevation.
• Assign responsibilities, mentor project team and develop economical state-of-the-art structural systems, which saved, estimated initial costs.
• Work with multiple discipline projects and monitor fieldwork activities, as well as organize minimum subcontractors on a daily basis.
• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
• Coordinate with estimation team project estimation and project schedule.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is submitted along with the invoices to client/owner representative and completion certificates are signed off appropriately.
• Ensure Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) of projects to help organize and manage the total work scope of the project.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or marine engineering or any related field
Professional Experience
Preferably 15-years' experience in Project Engineering from leading Construction companies
Computer Skills
Good knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD and other Engineering software
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge
• Knowledge of mechanical, structural, and SURF
• Strong knowledge of related health, safety, security and environmental regulations
• Good understanding of Quality Management Systems, such as ISO 9001
• Mandatory to possess valid Qatar driving license to attend site visit as and when required
• Understanding or project management practices
