Quality Inspector

Job Title: Quality Inspector with EPCIC Fiber cable system
Job Type: Contract

Education & Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical/metallurgy/industrial)
• Certifications (at least one of the following):
• AWS CWI, CSWIP Grade 3.1 or EWIP/IWIP-S
• ISO 9712:2012 Level II (PCN, COFREND, CSWIP or SNTTC-1A, (2016) - Recommended Practice ANSI / ASNT CP-105), FROSIO or NACE-CIP or SSPC-PCI Level II or Bgas-CSWIP Grade 2
• ASNT Level II (UT/PT/MPT/RT)
• Valid BOSIET certification (for offshore only)

Professional Experience:

Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience in engineering industries and projects such as oil and gas, pipe laying and construction, heavy and mid-size fabrication industries.

Job Objective:

To assist and support QA/QC Engineers/Manager in performing QA/QC surveillance activities as per project quality assurance, control plans, ITP, approved WPS-PQR, and other relevant quality, project-specific, client, and international standards. Oversee, witness, manage, administer, report, sign NCR and OBS close out and other relevant activities ensure adherence to quality procedures and practices.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure safe custody and preservation of customer property in the fabrication area.
• Plan, organize, and conduct inspection and testing as per the forecasted schedule and approved ITP.
• Ensure availability of necessary resources (manpower, equipment, and tools) in liaison with project management and QA/QC Manager.
• Ensure activities are risk assessed and personnel involved are competent.
• Carry out all jobs, including tests, safely and in strict adherence to client procedures, project procedures, and international standards.
• Generate necessary reports to the client as required.
