Location: Amsterdam Area, Netherlands (Home Office)
Duration: Immediate start until Q2/Q3 2025
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Planner to join our client’s team in the Amsterdam area. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of a major construction project, with the actual site located in Sweden. This role requires a highly organized and proactive individual with (preferably) a strong background in steel mill projects and the ability to lead a geographically dispersed team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
- Coordinate planning activities with teams located in Amsterdam, India, Italy, and the construction site in Sweden.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.
- Lead planning meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Utilize project management software to track and report on project status.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Lead Planner, preferably in steel mill projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a dispersed team.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to start immediately and commit to the project duration until Q2/Q3 2025.
- Willingness to travel to the construction site in Sweden as needed.
