The role will see you manage the Transport and Installation of Foundations, Wind Turbines or Offshore Substation as well as development of Offshore Wind Farm installation logistics for future projects.
Experience
- Driving best practice for time scheduling, budget control and interdisciplinary coordination of offshore construction activities
- Driving best practice for budgetary proposal processes with domestic and international offshore construction companies
- Support procurement with preparation of contracts and vessel charters with offshore construction companies
- Technical and commercial assessment of different installation methodologies
- Interface Management to foundation, electrical/cable, and turbine package
- Interface Management to partner companies participating in projects
- After project award: Responsible for implementation of the developed construction concepts together with chosen supplier
- Interface Management to authorities and governmental bodies
- Support stakeholder management of pipeline projects
- Close collaboration with other work packages and projects including knowledge and experience sharing
Your profile
- Degree in civil / structural engineering, naval architecture, ocean engineering, or a closely aligned discipline
- Deep knowledge of Offshore Wind Industry Practice, Regulations and HSE requirements
- A positive mindset with self-motivation and resilience, a flexible and creative approach to find solutions.
- Degree or equivalent in Naval Architecture, Civil Engineering, Marine Logistics or related areas.
- Ideally, experience in Offshore Wind Transport and Installation of Foundations, Turbines and Cables.
- Knowledge about Offshore Installation Vessels, Installation Methodologies and Tools is essential. If no Offshore Wind experience, other Industries’ experience e.g. Oil & Gas is beneficial as well.
- Technical understanding with the ability to resolve detailed issues and to convey complex technical matters and risk costing coherently.
- Ability to quantify risks and impact on budget.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Japanese Offshore and Vessel market
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Fluent spoken and written Japanese
- Intercultural communication skills
