Key Tasks
• Works closely with STP team and HQ to organize and coordinate dialogue and engagement with different level of stakeholders in STP and build the trust among stakeholders by using appropriate engagement methods and tools.
• Makes sure that all levels of stakeholders in STP are appropriately informed of the Project activities.
• Ensures responses are given to stakeholders raising questions and concerns.
• Will receive grievances and follow the resolution process locally with support from HQ.

Activities
Plan
• Is familiar with the Stakeholder Engagement Plan as part of the Social Management Plan for the project.
• Understand the local context and challenges regarding Stakeholder Engagement.
• Knows the key local stakeholders, especially authorities concerned by the operations, potentially impacted stakeholders (fishermen) and interested civil society organizations (CSOs).
• Understand the grievance procedure and the grievance resolution process including the management of compensations.

Do
• Engage with the different stakeholders according to the needs and requests, under supervision of STP Grievance Administrator.
• Explain the grievance procedure and resolution process to stakeholders when needed.
• Manage stakeholder’s expectations, questions and concerns that may arise throughout the project implementation.
• Coordinates with client to ensure engagements are conducted appropriately.
• Will give to STP Grievance Administrator details about new stakeholders if any.
• Liaises with STP Grievance Administrator, Social Performance and Environment Coordinators and Exploration Team during operations to provide stakeholders with information regarding the project activities and the mitigation measures implementation.
• Liaises closely with the Fishery Liaison Officer to ensure concerns related to fishermen are well monitored and responded to.
• Receive grievances and manage grievances resolution process including evaluation and payment of compensation if any in compliance with the project grievance procedure and in coordination with STP Grievance Administrator.

Check
• Reports on a regular basis to provide feedback on engagements to STP Grievance Administrator;
• Maintains a record of all stakeholder engagements, stakeholder concerns and expectations, stakeholder grievances and follows-up on commitments.
• Collaborate to maintain the stakeholder database in coordination with STP Grievance Administrator.

Act
• Ensures feedback from stakeholders and analyzes it to adjust the consistency of the information delivered.
• Adjusts the messaging and approach according to the feedback from engagements and the needs for the Project.

Qualifications and Skills
• Understanding of the oil & gas industry, energy mix and environmental challenges.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to develop and maintain good relations with stakeholders including government authorities, local communities, fishermen, NGOs.
• Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good computer skills; report writing and analytical skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
