Payroll Tax Analyst

Southern California TRS Staffing Solutions are looking for a payroll tax analyst. To join our client's EPC team, please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications.
Responsibilities

• Responsible for recording, monitoring, and resolving all agency tax notices and tracers with 3rd party provider and government agencies, validating of all agency responses.

• Manage tax errors by implementing corrective measures and penalties

• Researches and provides analysis details on variances between the payroll systems and the payroll tax outsourcer

• W2 corrections and reissues

• Is attentive to detail and accuracy and committed to excellence and quality

• Assisting the Payroll Manager with the research, development, and implementation of payroll tax strategies. 

• Collectively collaborates with a team of payroll SMEs to proactively monitor internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance and timely tax filing & reporting to government authorities

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working as a Payroll Analyst or in a similar role

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, HR, or a relevant field 

• Must have strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills to identify payroll-related tax issues and compliance errors.

• Familiarity with payroll policies and tax regulations

• Requires strong discretion and independent judgment

• Proficiency in ADP SmartCompliance

• Knowledge of procedures, policies and best practices

• SAP system knowledge a plus

Job Location: OnSite - Aliso Viejo, CA 
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (7am - 4:45pm)
Pay range: $80K - $85K/yr.
