Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on procurement status.
- Resolve supplier and invoice discrepancies swiftly, assisting Accounts Payable with queries.
- Maintain an accurate supply chain database and ensure easy accessibility of documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
- Ensure procurement activities align with organizational expectations and project requirements.
- Manage purchase orders and logistics to ensure timely delivery and support project schedules.
- Establish and evaluate supplier relationships, ensuring performance aligns with contracts.
- Prepare reports related to procurement activities and maintain records.
- Procure materials and services aligning with project needs and negotiate cost-effective deals.
- Demonstrate flexibility in performing other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Completion of high school education, with a preference for a diploma in a related field such as Purchasing or Supply Chain Management.
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement within sectors like Industrial Services, Oil and Gas, Construction, or Maintenance, including experience managing large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated flexibility in adapting to changing project needs and schedules, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Proven ability to guide and develop procurement staff, with prior experience in a supervisory or management role being beneficial.
- Strong abilities in organization and multitasking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated strategic negotiation skills to secure advantageous terms with suppliers.
- Exceptional skills in evaluating and comparing supplier proposals.
- Proven ability to effectively manage complex and competitive tenders.
- Proficiency in utilizing procurement software and databases.
