Responsibilities:
Monitoring:
- Continuously monitor actual construction progress against schedules for the complete project scope and duration.
- Monitor project progress against agreed baselines using project management tools.
- Review contractor project control procedures, progress measurement systems, and progress reporting formats.
- Track and monitor construction progress, including contractor deliverables and obligations.
- Track and manage interdependencies between various functions and teams to ensure smooth and timely project execution.
- Develop a process for performance monitoring and review of contractors.
- Define key performance indicators for contractors and monitor their achievement, notifying contractors immediately of any deviations and agreeing on action plans to address deviations.
Reporting:
- Issue periodic reports of project progress against agreed baselines.
- Prepare weekly progress reports regarding manpower and machinery deployment.
- Compile monthly progress reports with an overall summary and commentary on project status, including progress achieved, risks, issues, and schedule/cost variances.
- Develop dashboards for viewing real-time progress, with functionalities for issuing suitable alerts and flags.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in progress measurement and reporting.
- Strong analytical and monitoring skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple teams and manage interdependencies.
