Project Manager / Engineering Manager – Smelting Optimization
Location: Gurgaon, India
Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager / Engineering Manager to lead efforts in optimizing and managing the smelting process within our state-of-the-art metal production facility. This key role focuses on engineering excellence, innovation, and operational efficiency to enhance the quality and sustainability of our smelting operations.
Experience: 15–25 years of Engineering & Design experience, specializing in mechanical and electrical systems for metal production.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management / Engineering Management:

Design and oversee mechanical and electrical engineering projects, including potline, anode, cast house, and related systems.

Manage smelting process upgrades and installation of new equipment, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

Monitor smelting operations to identify inefficiencies and implement strategic improvements for optimized energy consumption, raw material usage, and product quality.

Conduct trials and integrate new smelting techniques and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:

Lead cross-functional teams to ensure project success while fostering a collaborative work environment.

Provide guidance and support for team members, promoting innovation and best practices in smelting engineering.
Performance Analysis and Documentation:

Analyze operational data to assess performance and recommend process adjustments.

Maintain detailed records of trials, modifications, and upgrades to support continuous improvement and compliance.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

Proven track record of leading engineering projects within metal production facilities.

Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Expertise in engineering design and execution within smelting processes.
