The job:
As Technical Quality Inspector (QC engineer) for the department “Electrification & Automation” you’ll be responsible for regular quality inspections in our own factories and at our 3rd party suppliers. Ensure that our tailor-made equipment meets our quality standards. If a quality problem occurs, immediately action will be taken. It is the technical quality inspector responsibility to think critically and
will flag quality issues or will come up with a solution.
• Verification of technical requirements / documents / procedures
• Perform inspections in Siemens factories and at 3rd party suppliers
• Inspection during manufacturing process
• Quality checking of our produced equipment
• Support by implementation of improvements to meet standards in our factories
• Communicate with stakeholders (project teams, production facility, customers)
• Witnessing of tests / FAT (Factory acceptance tests) with customers
• Pre-shipment inspections
• Develop and monitor corrective hands-on measures for quality issues
• Making sure production failures are not repeated
In the projects they design and deliver power distribution solutions to national and international customers. The project management and engineering team is located in the Hague, production of products and equipment is taking place in multiple factories in different countries. A typical project scope includes switchgear, transformers, E-houses, automation and protection systems.
Requested:
• Technical education
• Knowledge of electrical systems (switchgear, panel building, transformers)
• Relevant experience as a quality inspector, auditing, and testing
• Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations like IEC 60079, IEC 61439
• An in-depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant standards
• Strong communication skills
• An eye detail and result-driven approach
• Problem-solving abilities
• Willing to travel internationally (EU passport required) (75% traveling, 25% home/office base)
• English speaking
• Driver license
