Quality Material Engineer
Location: Jamnagar, Gujarat
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced QC Material Engineer to oversee and ensure adherence to quality standards in material selection, testing, and construction processes for large-scale projects in Jamnagar. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in construction quality control, materials engineering, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Testing and Inspection:
- Conduct detailed quality checks and material inspections at all project stages.
- Develop and manage material testing protocols, ensuring compliance with IS codes and standards.
- Establish and maintain quality assurance procedures for construction activities.
- Perform audits to verify adherence to approved quality plans and specifications.
- Maintain records of test results, inspection reports, and certificates of compliance for all construction materials.
- Prepare and present detailed quality control reports to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and vendors to resolve quality-related issues.
- Provide technical guidance to the site team regarding material standards and quality expectations.
- Ensure all materials and construction processes meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance concerning quality compliance.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to material quality and construction practices.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields.
- 10-15 years of proven experience in site-based construction quality control material inspection.
- Expertise in material testing methodologies and construction standards (e.g., IS codes).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in quality management tools and software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work on-site full-time.
