Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Associate Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities.
- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs.
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring adherence to budget.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Conduct risk, value management, and cost control.
- Prepare and analyze cost reports and financial statements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide support in dispute resolution and claims management.
- Travel to job locations as required, with per diem allowances provided for travel expenses.
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 -10 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the Metals & Mining industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and financial management.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, cost estimating software).
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- CIQS (Certified Professional Quantity Surveyor)
- Other relevant certifications in quantity surveying or construction management.

Salary range: $130K/yr - $150K/yr
