Senior Civil Engineer

TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our client’s Calgary team.

In this role, you will lead and contribute to diverse projects across various disciplines within the organization, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and sustainable solutions. This role has a hybrid work mode and the opportunity to work on major projects.

Job Functions & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement complex engineering and field programs.
• Lead and manage technical tasks in Civil, Geotechnical, and Environmental engineering.
• Supervise and validate dam safety studies and reports.
• Conduct site visits and inspections.
• Execute front-end, preliminary, and detailed design projects, focusing on Civil and Geotechnical engineering.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, staff, government representatives, and technology suppliers.
• Review and authenticate engineering reports, including Design Basis Memorandums and Construction Completion Reports.

Skills & Requirements

• Registered P.Eng in Canada with APEGA.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of industry or consulting experience.
• Skilled in geotechnical design and analysis using slope stability software.
• Proven leadership and business development abilities.
• Proficient in storm and sanitary sewer design, stormwater management, and modeling.
• Strong client interfacing and communication skills.
• Expertise in civil earthworks, drainage, and industrial water infrastructure design.
• Experience in preparing reports, construction plans, technical notes, and client presentations.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada with a valid driver’s license.
