Senior Welding Engineer

We are assisting a well-known client in Bahrain looking to hire a Senior Welding Engineer.

Job Scope:
Supervise Welding Engineers to carry out verification of implementation of the welding procedures for all special welding work such as boiler tubes, high pressure vessels, low temperature welds, stainless steel or any other critical weldments or where there are indications for potential non-conformity in order to ensure that such weldments verified by them meet the specified requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
• Development, preparation and approval of Welding Procedures (WPS & WPQR).
• Monitoring the testing and/or approval of Yard’s and subcontracted welders.
• Supervision of special welding and heat treatment jobs.
• Identification of metallurgical requirements of materials.
• To ensure safe working practices are maintained at all times.
• To ensure an acceptable ISO standards of Quality, Environmental, OHSMS and Security Management System and American Petroleum Institute (API) Q1 are maintained in accordance with recognized working practices and the Company’s QEHS&S Manual and Policy.

Requirements:
• University Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of work experience in shipyard on similar position or similar experience.
