The team requires a structural engineer with offshore engineering experience to assist with the structural design and analysis of a floating offshore unit, consistent with the rules and standards outlined by classification societies such as ABS and Lloyds register, and to assist with a diverse range of other engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
· Performing FEA analysis of the offshore structure using ANSYS structural design software;
· Working to Classification Society (ABS, Lloyds, DNV) standards;
· Liaising with CAD Designers to turn the analysed hull into CAD drawings for construction quotations;
· Aid with the review of supplier deliverables;
· Supporting shipyard and supplier visits;
· Developing your skills within the company to obtain chartership;
· Aid the development of company’ intellectual property and patent portfolio;
Requirements
· 2 years’ experience offshore structural engineering background
· 2 years’ experience using Ansys;
· UK engineering degree or equivalent;
· Experience with making sketches in AutoCAD;
· Experience doing drawing mark-ups;
· Problem solving skills;
· Clear communication skills;
· Highly adaptable.
