Objective:
The Instrumentation, Control & Electrical Engineer is responsible for design, specification and services related to the electrical, instrumentation and control systems portion of industrial process plant design.
Responsibilities:
• Designing electrical distribution systems, control panels, analyzer systems, field instrumentation & lighting.
• Engineering/design, to include calculations, specifications, and documentation
• Preparation of detailed design drawings (loop diagrams, schematics, and control system documentation) and equipment specification
• Working on numerous projects all at various stages of design and implementation
• Issuing reports and keeping supervisor informed on studies and projects
• Coordinate with purchasing department to procure associated equipment, including technical bid reviews
• Assist Instrument, Controls, and Electrical Designer to develop project-specific design documents
• Assist in compiling project data books and manuals
• Construction/fabrication support, including travel during equipment commissioning (several weeks at a time)
Requirements
• BS in an engineering discipline, preferably Electrical Engineering
• Your physical work environment will require standing/stooping and lifting up to 30 pounds.
• 5+ years industry related experience
• General familiarity with industrial (preferably cryogenic) processes and equipment such as pumps, compressors, and expanders and associated field instrumentation
• Ability to read process and instrument diagrams, electrical schematics, and equipment specifications
• Ability to perform design calculations and familiarity with ISA, ATEX and other standards
• Excellent verbal & written communications skills
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, ability to multitask, and work on several projects simultaneously
• Proficient in the use of related computer & software tools such as Microsoft Office.
