FUNCTION: PORT CAPTAIN (MOORING MASTER)
DISCIPLINE: MANAGEMENT
LOCATION: INDONESIA
DURATION: CONTRACT (12 MONTHS RENEWABLE)
SALARY:
Eastern European: 7,000 EUR Monthly
Western European: 7,500 EUR Monthly
TCN: 6,300 USD Monthly

"TRS is looking for an experienced Port Manager (Mooring Master role) with strong Port & Marine experience within the Oil and Gas Industry to join our International Client's Karimun Project based in Indonesia."

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Take command on any seagoing ship of 3000 gross tonnage or more, and according with Company Procedure able to operate any not DP vessel.
• Take command of the vessel, according to International Conventions and Regulations, Flag State requirements and local regulations, implementing safety and environmental policy of the Company.
• Act as Safety leader of the vessel and ensure compliance with international and local laws as well as Flag State, Class requirements, International Conventions and Company policies.
• Act as fully conversant with ISM Code (and/or SOLAS).
• Act as fully conversant with MARPOL.
• Act as the Ship Security Officer as defined in the ISPS Code. Apply all the Codes requirements.
• Apply MLC2006 requirements.
• Whenever required, act as OIM as defined in IMO resolution A. 1079(28).
• As part of the vessel management, ensure the best performance of the vessel and its crew to achieve the project requirements.
• Well Control course (where applicable).
• MOU Stability course (where applicable) Master can delegate, keeping the responsibility of the task, for one or more of above items to: - Chief Mate - Clerical Staff (when present on board).
• Manage shuttle tanker approach and mooring and supervise offloading Operations in conjunction with Cargo Superintendent.

Mooring Master tasks:
• Supports cargo team on all activities while there is no mooring activities ongoing
• Liaises closely with shuttle tanker officers and deck crew.
• Carries out watch duty during Offloading and marine operations.
• Monitors Connection / Disconnections of the shuttle tankers.
• Compares Checklists between the FPSO and the Shuttle Tanker.
• Monitors safe distance between FPSO and Shuttle Tanker.
• Liaises with the Shuttle Tanker's Chief Mate with regards to the operations of loading and Ballast
• Coordinates support / supply vessels.
• Intervenes and reports in case of unsafe act, unsafe working conditions, near misses and incidents/accidents.
• Ensures the OIM is informed immediately of any condition or incident that arises as per standing instruction.
• Ensures that no major action will be undertaken or executed without informing the OIM.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• Accredited bachelor’s degree / equivalent technical qualification within related field of experience.
• Minimum Five (5) plus year’s Chief Mate activity experience within Oil & Gas Industry.
• Well Control course (where applicable)
• MOU Stability course (where applicable) Master can delegate, keeping the responsibility of the task, for one or more of above items to: - Chief Mate - Clerical Staff (when present on board)
