Senior Mechanical Engineer

For our Oil & Gas client we are looking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer.

In this position you will be responsible for delivering the engineering output of the mechanical work scope of any type of job, in line with the project’s technical specification, budget and planning.

You will provide support to other disciplines within time agreed like for interfaces and (inter) discipline checks. Furthermore, you can be assigned to take the role of lead engineer. You implement the HSEQ&RC requirements and to assist the Lead (Project) Engineer in related meetings. You signal technical risks and anomalies in projects to the Dept Head Mechanical.

We are looking for an Engineer with a pragmatic and operation minded approach. You show creativity, flexibility and initiative. A great communicator who has a pragmatic approach and who is able to share expert advice in a business appropriate, but pleasant style.
- You have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- + 8 years of relevant experience in, and/or affinity with, mechanical engineering, in particular in the field of offshore.
- Computer literacy for mechanical calculations, document processing and spreadsheets management and for 2D and 3D CAD.
- You are able to travel and willing to perform activities abroad (onshore, construction sites).
- You have excellent communication skills and good understanding of the English language, verbally as well as in writing. Dutch is a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of Applied Mechanics.
- You are an EU passport holder.
