Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and adjust traffic staging plans with construction teams and subcontractors.
- Participate in traffic management and community meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure subcontractors accurately implement Traffic Control Plans.
- Notify stakeholders about lane closures, traffic diversions, and delays.
- Review and update the project schedule, attending coordination meetings.
- Facilitate the creation and approval of traffic control and transit management plans.
- Manage vehicular and pedestrian movement within construction zones, including cost tracking and monthly reports.
- Attend internal coordination meetings and provide updates.
- Oversee the development and approval of traffic signal designs, ensuring compliance.
- Administer design service contracts, prioritize tasks, coordinate progress meetings, track progress, manage accruals, approve invoices, and issue change orders.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of relevant traffic coordination experience.
- A degree in Engineering is preferred.
- Experience with traffic management, including development of traffic plans and SYNCHRO.
- Understanding of project costs, controls, and schedules.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify problems, generate solutions, and make sound decisions.
- Collaborative attitude with strong teamwork skills.
- Exceptional organization skills and high attention to detail.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and longer hours if required.
