TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager role to work for an amazing EPCM client in Toronto, ON. This position comes with a great opportunity to work on medium to large sized projects.


Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the mining industry.
• Strengthen internal collaboration to enhance the sales team’s effectiveness.
• Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and customer needs.
• Negotiate and secure prime contracts to meet sales goals.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with key industry leaders and stakeholders.
• Lead the development and presentation of persuasive commercial proposals.
• Update and execute Bid/No-Bid strategies with appropriate risk management.
• Create compelling value propositions and negotiation strategies, with a solid grasp of commercial and legal considerations.
• Achieve new business targets while maintaining selectivity, profitability, and cost efficiency.
• Design and implement strategic sales plans to boost revenue and market share.

Qualifications:

• Have a minimum of five years of experience in the natural resource sector.
• Have at least five years of business development experience in the mining sector within Canada, with a strong preference for experience in Ontario. 
• Communicate effectively with various audiences, including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Possess the technical knowledge necessary to perform job-related tasks.
• Learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, provincial, and federal statutes and guidelines.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
• Experience with Owner or EPC roles is highly desirable, though not mandatory.
• Proposal experience is highly preferred, but the biggest factor is having established relationships within the mining sector.
