TRS is seeking a Commercial Paralegal to join our client within the renewable energy sector. In this role, you will be working alongside the legal team to support projects and sales on a global scale. Your expertise will be vital in handling the intricacies of corporate regulations while playing a key role in the success of the operations.

Location: Kitchener, ON/Greater Toronto Area/Calgary, AB

Responsibilities:

Set up and monitor corporate entities, including their creation, merger, reorganization, and dissolution across various countries
Work with and support in-house legal teams, business units, and external lawyers globally.
Apply strong organizational skills to keep contract management orderly, including tracking contractual obligations and regulatory submissions.
Aid in the implementation of policies and execution of procedures related to compliance issues, such as ABAC, privacy, and confidentiality agreements.
Oversee project management for various initiatives within the legal department.
Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, vendor agreements, and supplier contracts across different departments.
Manage the completion of transaction closings, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and compliant.
Collaborate closely with internal teams and external legal counsel to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
Efficiently organize and maintain legal records, ensuring they are easily accessible to the legal team.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of corporate paralegal experience within a large law firm
Paralegal certification is an asset
Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
Strong knowledge regarding compliance and regulatory framework
