We have an exciting contract opportunity for a Junior/Intermediate Document Controller to join our global EPC client in their Calgary, AB office.
Job Duties
- Execute technical and administrative tasks such as scanning physical documents, renaming digital files as per project guidelines, and ensuring the revision, formatting, and status requirements of both physical and digital documents are met.
- Aid in the timely receipt and filing of relevant documents, and accurately update project databases like document management systems.
- Create and arrange physical materials, process reproduction orders, generate electronic and physical transmittals, and prepare email notifications for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues and task force members to meet deadlines and achieve client objectives.
- Revise project work processes and quality checklist templates for approval.
- Subject to Lead’s discretion, may have the authority to release documents without a senior position’s quality check.
Qualifications
- A blend of education and directly related experience totaling two years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements.
- Proficiency in communicating effectively with a variety of audiences including but not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
- Possess job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and work in a time-conscious and efficient manner.
- Experience related to projects in the engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction (EPFC) industry. Comprehensive knowledge of and experience with computers and specialized software programs such as electronic document management systems, relational databases, and internet-based project collaboration systems.
