Our client is a leading engineering firm specializing in marine construction projects. TRS is seeking a dedicated Marine Construction Superintendent to join our client’s dynamic team and contribute to the successful execution of complex marine infrastructure projects. This role is based at the project site in Squamish, BC.

Responsibilities:
  • Promote environmental sustainability in all construction activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks throughout the construction process.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of construction materials and services.
  • Develop and review detailed construction plans and schedules.
  • Oversee quality control for all construction activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Review and analyze technical documentation and construction designs.
  • Supervise the installation phase to ensure adherence to designs and schedules.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and implement best practices on-site.

Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in marine construction and project management.
  • Proven experience in managing marine construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of marine construction techniques, including pile installation and substructure development.
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • Proficient in interpreting construction drawings and project plans.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and codes relevant to marine construction. 
  • Valid driver's license and passport, with legal authorization to work in the specified location.
