TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Senior Buyer role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Responsibilities:
 

• Create and execute procurement strategies to meet project and regional objectives.
• Negotiate complex equipment and bulk material contracts to secure the best value for projects.
• Implement and monitor procurement processes using approved corporate tools to ensure efficiency.
• Handle material purchasing, expediting, and field procurement in compliance with corporate policies and project guidelines.
• Identify and resolve procurement-related issues, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Provide leadership and support to procurement, expediting, and support teams.
• Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Effectively manage multiple projects and tasks, prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
• Oversee procurement operations, including purchasing, expediting, and field procurement for various projects.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications
 

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 10-12 years of proven experience in procurement management for large-scale projects.
• Experience in the mining industry required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Engineering degree is a plus.
• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
