Our client is a start-up software development company looking for a Senior Cost Estimator to join their team in Calgary, AB. The Cost Estimator should possess a proactive and entrepreneurial spirit to launch our client’s new capital cost estimating software. This would be a full-time permanent position based out of Calgary, AB.
Key Job Duties:

Provide technical mechanical/ piping knowledge and services to support existing customers.
Analyze project proposals to prepare cost and budget estimates.
Work alongside internal team to drive innovation in design for successful implementation of cost estimating solutions.
Execute bid strategy and attend bid meetings for mechanical projects.
Represent the company at industry events and secure new business opportunities.

Key Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in capital cost estimating
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management or equivalent industry experience.
Preference will be given to candidates with a background in the Oil & Gas industry, specifically within the Mechanical and Piping disciplines.
Knowledge of cost capital cost estimating software ie. Ircarus, Cleopatra, Primivera.
Experience in sale/ business development.
