TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Civil Designer role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Responsibilities:
 

• Conduct bulk material take-off analysis and tabulations.
• Work on design and perform 3D modeling of civil work of moderate scope.
• Follow project design criteria, industry codes, standards, and departmental practices and procedures.
• Develop 2D CAD drawings of moderate complexity.
• Review and verify drawings and vendor documentation for compliance with project requirements, resolving any discrepancies. 
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications
 

• Accredited two-year degree or diploma in civil engineering drafting and technology or equivalent.
• Five years of experience in Civil CAD modeling software such as OpenRoads or Civil 3D.
• Five years of experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials.
• Relevant technical knowledge and practical field experience.
• Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently within time constraints.
• Ability to adhere to project design criteria, industry codes, standards, and departmental practices and procedures.
• Effective communication skills with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and electronic presentation software.
