Responsibilities:
- Develop thorough scopes of work and cost projections for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) and Phase II ESA investigations, covering soil, groundwater, surface water, and soil vapor.
- Lead and conduct fieldwork on complex projects, providing mentorship to field staff.
- Engage in marketing and business development efforts, contributing to project cost estimates in collaboration with other disciplines.
- Communicate with field staff and technical leaders throughout project execution.
- Draft detailed scopes of work and cost estimates for executing chosen remedial strategies and manage coordination with subcontractors.
- Oversee project scope, budget, and schedule to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Foster positive client relationships and regularly update them on project progress.
- Work alongside technical specialists and subcontractors to formulate remedial options analyses and risk management plans.
- Assist in preparing proposals, pre-qualifications, and building relationships with current and potential clients.
- Analyze project data and compile technical reports that comply with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, or Civil/Geological Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Registered Professional with APEGA or EGBC.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Familiar with Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) contamination management and reclamation processes.
- Comfortable driving mid to full-sized pickup trucks in various environments.
- Knowledgeable in project management for environmental investigations and remediation.
- Experience working in diverse settings, including remote construction sites.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Strong understanding of AB Tier 1 and 2 soil and groundwater remediation guidelines.
