TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineering Lead role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Responsibilities:
 
•    Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and other disciplines to ensure project alignment.
•    Conduct design reviews and participate in value improvement initiatives.
•    Lead and coordinate structural, civil, and geotechnical design efforts within multidisciplinary projects.
•    Develop and review project estimates, schedules, and progress reports.
•    Supervise and mentor junior engineers and designers, ensuring high-quality output and technical integrity.
•    Perform technical bid evaluations and provide recommendations.
•    Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
•    Prepare project schedules, man-hour estimates, and manpower forecasts.
•    Oversee the preparation and review of technical specifications, design criteria, and procurement packages.
•    Develop structural design solutions for various project phases, including conceptual, front-end, and detailed engineering.
•    Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:
 
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
•    Minimum of 16 years of experience as a Professional Structural Engineer.
•    Minimum 10 years of experience in the mining and metals industry.
•    Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lead Engineer in a mining and metal project.
•    Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
•    Professional registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
•    Extensive experience with design codes for steel and concrete structures.
•    Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet deadlines.
•    Strong project execution skills and experience in interdisciplinary coordination.
