TRS has an exciting opportunity for a Vice President of Operations to join our client’s dynamic team. This role is pivotal in driving business growth, overseeing project management, and leading field operations within the region. The Vice President will play a crucial role in expanding our client’s market presence, managing a diverse project portfolio, and fostering a high-performing team.

Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and execute strategic business plans for the region, working closely with the executive team.
  • Advocate for organizational standardization efforts, promoting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide direction in bid proposals and project cost estimation.
  • Recognize market challenges and emerging opportunities, and devise strategies to boost visibility and impact.
  • Lead the strategic planning and annual budgeting processes for the regional team.
  • Track and manage team performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and budget objectives.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to support the development and growth of operations.
  • Manage regional profit and loss, ensuring financial responsibility.
  • Guide a team of professionals to meet and surpass revenue goals.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:
 
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation.
  • 10+ years of senior management experience in a competitive, fast-paced environment.
  • 7+ years of people management experience, including leading and managing teams.
  • Experience in the construction industry, with a focus on large-scale projects.
  • Background in the regional market is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel within North America.
  • Proven leadership in bid proposals and construction project estimation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Effective communication and strategic thinking abilities.
