TRS has an exciting opportunity for an Estimator role to join our client’s growing team. The selected individual will oversee the calculation of costs related to home projects, including additional features and upgrades, and will also be in charge of developing and maintaining the cost database.

Responsibilities:

Analyze blueprints and documents to prepare accurate budgets.
Provide change order pricing within three business days.
Review and audit trade quotes for alignment with specifications.
Recommend cost-reducing options.
Finalize cost reports 30 days post possession.
Provide sales team with budget expectations within three business days.
Ensure project estimates are provided within 10 business days of receiving plans.
Issue purchase orders within one business day of schedule milestones.
Review variance purchase orders and conduct risk assessments.
Analyze estimate vs. actual costs 60 days post possession.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years of estimating experience, particularly in custom residential construction.
Experience in custom home building.
Familiarity with Buildertrend and Square Takeoff is an asset.
Self-motivated
Highly detail oriented.
Proficient in using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access) and general computer skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to understand, read, and interpret drawings and specifications.
