Here is an exciting opportunity to join an Engineering Consultancy in Calgary as a Lead Electrical Engineer! You would be working within a growing team with projects worldwide. The successful candidate for this role will be working within the energy and petrochemical sectors establishing a course of action within limits of company practices and guidelines for all related project activities.

Job Duties:

Lead the electrical design team on various projects and mentor junior electrical engineers.
Execute electrical conceptual, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), and detailed design tasks.
Take charge of technical issues and collaborate with other disciplines.
Handle specification, procurement, technical assessment, and vendor drawing reviews of electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, UPS, electrical buildings, etc.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power) or a related engineering field.
At least 10-15 years of electrical engineering design experience in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, and related industries. Experience with US projects is a plus.
Over 10 years of formal experience in heavy industrial or institutional electrical engineering design.
More than 5 years as a lead project electrical engineer.
Registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in Alberta
